Francesco Zanichelli received a Laurea Degree in Electronics Engineering in 1987 from the University of Bologna. In 1988/89 he was recipient of a fellowship from I.B.M. on design and development of a control architecture for the robotic dextrous hand of University of Bologna. During 1990-1993 he attended the Information Technology Ph.D. program of DII-University of Parma finally obtaining his Ph.D. in 1994.
Francesco Zanichelli is currently an associate professor with the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Architettura of the University of Parma.
Francesco Zanichelli's research interests were initially focused
on robotics and Artificial Intelligence, programming languages/environments and
parallel architectures. More recently, main research interests are related to distributed and peer-to-peer architectures as well as to multimedia systems.
