Giulio Destri was born in
Casalmaggiore (CR), Italy.
He received the Master (Italian Laurea or Dr.Ing.) degree in
Electronic Engineering from the University of Parma in 1992,
discussing a Master Thesis about the implementation of Image
Processing techniques on Massive Parallel Architectures.
Giulio Destri
received the PhD degree in Information Technology (Computer Engineering)
in December 1996.
His main research interests during PhD have been Parallel
and Distributed Processing, the study of parallel models such as
Cellular Neural Networks , and the application of them to
Image Processing problems. He worked also with Genetic Algorithms and
on the application of Distributed Processing in Object-Oriented
environments and Database systems. Now he works in Distributed Object-Oriented
application field.
From April to June 1996 he has been a
TRACS
visitor
at
Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre
, Scotland.

He has had an adjunct position to teach
"Fundamentals of Computer Science"
course in the Computer Engineering Diploma curriculum at the
University of Parma.
Giulio Destri is member of AEI, IEEE, IEEE Computer Society.
