Gianni Conte is professor of Computer Science in the School of Engineering of the University of Parma, where he teaches computer architectures and parallel processing. Before joining the University of Parma he has held the same position at the University of Salerno, and the positions of research associate and associate professor at the Politecnico of Torino. Gianni Conte received his Electronic Engineering degree from the Politecnico of Torino in 1970. He his author of over 70 technical papers in refereed journals and conferences as well as of two books on parallel computer architectures and performance modelling.
His research interests include parallel processing, performance evaluation of distributed systems, Petri net modelling, and VLSI system architectures.
