Although road congestion and accidents in Australia are relatively small problems compared to other parts of the world, many laboratories there are developing driver aids. This article describes research activities at the Australian National University. There, a team is studying and testing automatic lane detction, obstacle detction, and driver monitoring on an experimental vehicle. Feel free to contact me regarding this department.
