We ave tested our CSG-Schema on the J3DViewer of Rimlab and we have verified that this method makes really easy the representation of solid objects and the programmi of loaders and validator. We have tried to represent some robots and environments and here we report some Photos of the application of CSG schema in the Java3DViewer of RimLab.
For the future we think that there are some point to develop. It’s possible to insert reference to the real dimension of the robots with scale factor, and colors for all the parts. Another is the use of reusable blocks, for objects with many equal components. We think that the algorithms based on CSG can be more powerful and faster that the ones based on Triangulation. Testing is needed. Another thing needed is the omputation of thereal surface to can represent the intersection and the subtraction.
