Paolo Grisleri was born in Piacenza, Italy. He received the Dr. Ing. (Master) degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information Technology both from the University of Parma, Italy, in 2002 and 2006, respectively.
From 2009 works as Engeneer at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione.
His research interests focus on video and data acquisition and recording tecniques, concurrent and generic programming, computer vision and advanced automotive applications such as lanes detection, vehicle tracking, detection of obstacles based on fusion of different data streams.
He partecipated in 2004, 2005 and 2007 to the DARPA challenges in the team Oshkosh designing and developing the vision system for the TerraMax autonomous vehicle.
He partecipated to the VIAC Experiment in 2010, covering the route from Kharkov (Ucraine) to Kazan (Russia).He is the project manager of GOLD, the framework used at VisLab for computer vision applications development and prototyping.
He serves as associate editor of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation System Society Newsletter.
He serves as associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation System.
